HAPPY CHOCOLATE VALENTINE’S DAY

It used to be frowns but now broad SMILEs
It’s great to know that these smiles would forever be on our faces and
As bright as the sun is
So bright would our smiles ever be
We children in Kwabena Akwa, Pasoro, Anansu and Wurubegu in Ghana are happy
Happy and joyous than ever before
Chocolate now tastes sweeter on our tongues
Chocolate reminds us no more of painful toil in cocoa farms
It rather brings to memory the love of a caring friend;
ACE-Japan and their partner friends in Japan
Valentine day is a moment to say a resounding thank you
A moment to appreciate the good thought of all Japanese friends to children in Ghana

以前の暗い表情が今は笑顔でいっぱいです
私たちの笑顔が太陽のように明るくずっと続くと思うと嬉しいです
ガーナのこの村にいる私たちは幸せです
今までにないほど幸せと喜びに満ちています
チョコレートは甘く感じ、
カカオ農園での苦しく辛かった思い出も忘れさせてくれます

大事な友達との大切な時間や
ACEとその仲間である日本の友達のことを思い出させてくれます
バレンタインデーは感謝の気持ちを伝えるときです
ガーナの子どもたちを想ってくれる日本の友達に感謝をするときです

Like a good book, a cozy fire, a cup of cocoa or a bar of sweet chocolate You are a comfort to us every step of our journey.
